Starting this year’s ingredient challenge with HONEY for the monthly #foodandtoolsuseyourcookbookclub made... Homemade flatbreads with Cardamom-Honey Butter. .
Although not keen on eating honey by the spoonful, I do love adding its sweet flavor to other ingredients, especially dairy products. This simple but delicious combination of butter, HONEY and cardamom spread over warm flatbreads is lovely and, would equally be as delicious spread over pancakes, toast or fresh crusty homemade sourdough bread. .
The flatbreads were made with plain and whole-wheat flour, HONEY and chopped golden raisins for added sweetness and poppy seeds for a slight crunch. Something a little different than plain flatbreads. .
This recipe was chosen from a cookbook called “Yoghurt Culture” by Cheryl Sternman Rule. . .
