If you haven’t been to the Ritz-Carlton Primavera restaurant recently, you will notice some changes… spring is in the air, with a lighter and brighter Primavera re-launch. Keeping with Italian tradition and incorporating local ingredients to the menu, two Michelin starred Chef Oliver Glowig is working closely with Primevera’s team, ensuring standards are high. Chef Glowig focuses on quality ingredients with outstanding flavors, creating a menu that’s sure to please.
You can’t help but admire the eye-catching and vibrant Solimene dinnerware, the colors and figurative designs are bright and mood up-lifting. Handmade pottery from the small town of Vietri near the Amalif coast… Primavera’s promise of bringing a complete Italian dining experience to you. This time of year is perfect for outdoor dining and Primavera’s outdoor terraced area and wide choice of Italian wines will also add to your “Italian” experience. The evening began with a light and flavorsome dish of thinly sliced cold veal, served with a creamy mayonnaise-like sauce flavored with tuna. Topped with a garnish of shredded lettuce and capers. My favorite dish of the evening was the creamy tomato risotto, with burrata and anchovy, the combination of flavors were very pleasing.
Hammour, a local fish served with a cherry tomato sauce with black olives and capers. And of course, some healthy steamed vegetables on the side. Ending the evening meal with a light and delicious flour-less chocolate almond cake, served with an in-house vanilla ice cream. Surrounded by flowers, fresh herbs and colorful dinnerware… thoroughly enjoyed my “Italian” experience that left me with a “spring” in my step. Oh, and if you have room… help yourself to Primavera’s fun jars of colorful sweets and jellies on the way out.
